   Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev is a main smithy of  engineering skills, a leader of the High technical education in our country. The history of KazNTU was created in 1934, and it was a history of formation and progress of the technical sciences and intelligentsia in Kazakhstan. By the Order of the President of RK in 2001is give the special status. KazNTU is ranking the first place in the list of technical High Schools in country.
     In 2005 the university is received the certificates in accordance the system of management quality of the International standard ISO 9001:2000 by  Association on certificates “Russian register” and by the International net authority on certificates IQ Net.
     At present KazNTU is one of major and the leading educational center which consist of 10 institutes:

1. The Institute of mining engineering named after O.A.Baykonurov;
2. The Institute of geological survey named after K.Turysov;
3. The Institute of metallurgy and polygraphy named after A.Burkitbaev;
4. The Institute of mechanical engineering;
5. The Institute of oil and gas;
6. The Institute of automatics and telecommunication;
7. The information technology institute;
8. The ecology economic institute;
9. The Institute of natural-humanitarian named after Al-Mashany;
10. The military chair.
     As well as the college, the center of retraining and advanced training, the scientific centers and  industrial park  which  creates jointly with the National innovative fund.
    The university is created all conditions for receiving an engineering trainings in high international level. KazNTU have the best scientific and technical library, the Internet classes, the sport-cultural facility, hostels and public catering. The students has the possibilities
not just only to study but also to go in for sports, organizing the cultural spare-time of students. There are magistracy and postgraduate and preliminary courses for the entrants in the university.
