   The  center "Career” as a structural division of  Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev is created by the Order of Rector in June, 2008.  There are 2 departments in the center:
•    Department of practical training and job placement
•    Department of reception and external certification.
   
     The purpose of creation the center is organization of vocational guidance works among entrants, granting aid to the students and graduating student of the university in professional  career planning and the assistance in their job placement.
     The basic directions of activity of the center is organisation of preliminary courses for entrants to the High Schools, an analysis of progress trend of a labour-market, carrying out of study support work and trainings on planning the professional career and  the technology of searching the  job, creation and using of corresponding information resources, carrying out the presentation of the companies, the organisation of direct contacts of students with  the employers, support of competitive selections of young experts, and other forms of assistance in job placement.
Center’s primary goals are:

•     organisation of all kinds of practice in according to educational guidance;
•     organisation and monitoring of employment of young experts;
•     organisation and conduction of the intermediate state control (ISC);
•     an analysis of progress trend of a labour market;
•    creation and support of an information resources of professional career and employment;
•    establishment and support of direct contacts with potential employers;
•    conduction of vocational guidance works;
•    support in working condition the systems of management of quality of the centre;
•    holding the trainings and seminars among students and graduates on training  skills for successful employment;
