No.1 - rating place among technical universities of Kazakhstan, beginning from the year of 2002.
In 2001 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is awarded special status.
In 2004 KazNTU has signed «Magna Charta Unversitatum" and entered to the European Higher Education zone.
In 2004 is introduced the 3rd level system of high and postgraduate education: Bachelor’s – Master’s - PhD degree with an application of credit technology of training.
In 2005 - university was a part of American Educational Consortium.
In 2007- university is concerned the first place in the rating of scientific activities of High Schools of the country and in the rating of budget financing for 2001 - 2006 defined by the National Center of Scientific Technical Information of the RK.
In 2008 - KazNTU is confirmed the double certificate of Quality Management System for the correspondence to the International Standard ISO 9001:2000 for No.RU-08.492.026 from August 11,2008 from the Certification Association “Russian Register” and the International certification network “IQNet”.
In 2009 - University is become the leader in technical sciences and technology on 22 training programs, taking up 14 - first, 5 - second and 3 - third positions, by the results of rating of bachelor’s degree educational program carried out by the National Accreditation Center.
In 2010 - Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev is issued the certification about the institutional accreditation No.000001 from February 03,2010 on the grounds of decision of Accreditation Council of the National Accreditation Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK.
KasNTU the unique university in the post-soviet space is included to the Universities of Partnership Program, sponsored by Chevron Company. Among universities included to UPP are Cambridge University, Stanford University and Massachusetts Technology Institute.
