Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev


The graduating student of Moscow Institute of Non-ferrous Metals and Gold, miner M.K.Grishin, spent several years in production was come to power in such a difficult time, and he was as director of Chimkent Mining Technical School before the direction to Kazakh Mining Metallurgical Institute. He was a personality original, he has an oratorical talent – M.K.Grishin was freely control the audience. He read the lectures by social sciences being the mining engineer. M.K.Grishin was assumed the whole number of measures in widening of material and technical basis of the institute, a lot of training buildings, accommodation and hostels were built by economic way. The big attention was paid in consolidation of qualitative structure of faculty. The experienced pedagogues and scientists were offered for the pedagogical works: A.A.Nepomnyashyh, A.I.Netunahin, K.V.Sushkov, P.F.Potapsky, S.N.Petrova, A.I.Perevertun, A.N.Philipovsky, L.Ya.Selemenova and others. There were modernized the departments and sub departments structures. The 50 students and 4 tutors were returned from army during the first postwar academic year. Altogether 133 front-line soldiers were accepted to the Institute. The ex-front-line soldiers included in an organization, spirit of conscious disciplines, thirst for knowledge, an initiative in goal achievement. They were cemented the staff, carried on an active struggle with stagnation and bureaucracy. The students-front-line soldiers were studiously trained and assimilated the elements of an engineering knowledge and as a rule were successfully finished the High School trainings.
Another notability: they weren’t complained of financial difficulties, most of them studied and worked somewhere.
