Timetable application and selection process

Please find enclosed the timetable for the coming period. This is to say when we will receive an official approval from the EU for the new project round. This approval is to be expected by the end of May.
As you can see we have chosen to only have one selection round and not two like last year. We are aiming at a quick round, which is to say that we would like to do final selection no later then by the end of August. In this way, in some cases, depending on the possibilities (and starting date of the academic year) at the host universities involved, selected candidates could start already in September / October 2009. As you may know it is possible for mobility’s to start until 1 September 2010, which leaves us a little bit more space to arrange the individual mobility periods of the selected candidates in a proper way.

     Because our lot number will be changed into lot 9 we will change the web address accordingly. However because the current web address was already communicated in the past, and therefore well known to some extend by different parties, we will redirect this web address to the new web address. This means that the existing web addresses can still be used.
      During the coming week the web information will be updated and to some extend changed and more detailed. For this we need important input and information from the partner institutions. Please see remark below in the list (Please take good notice….)
Please take good notice of the following (some bullets and remarks only meant for and important to read for full partners) :
      Planning of our next consortium board meeting at METU Ankara in the period 10 – 13 June 2009. (attending only necessary for full partners)
      Delivery of updated and additional information about the study and research opportunities for candidates of this programme. Please use the excel format I enclose. This format is also used by some other consortia of EM ECW, so for some host universities this format is well known. Because this information is critical and needed for the updates website and online application form, we need the excel form as soon as possible. So we hope you are able to deliver it to us within the next days / week.
Other important deadlines for the delivery of important information (like for the use in progress reports to the EU) etc.
     And last but not least the deadlines for the purpose of ranking the candidates, etc.
This year it is obligatory for applicants to already fill in an English test score into the online registration form (either IELTS, TOEFL, or pseudo TOEFL via BILIM). I urgently request 3C partner universities and applicants to be aware of this and to prepare themselves right now and thus already before they will apply. Off course applicants who can proof that their entire previous or current education is conducted in English do not need to fill in an English test score
